Students presented and discussed the progress of their master&#8217;s theses.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ams.ut.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/AMS_Picninc_Spring_2014-e1401171885464.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ams.ut.ee\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/AMS_Picninc_Spring_2014-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"AMS_Picninc_Spring_2014\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2289\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">_<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">_<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">_<\/span><\/p>\n<p>As is usual for the AMS programme, a very wide range of topics is investigated by our students. Just some examples:<\/p>\n<p>&#8212; Determination of Pb-210 and Po-210 isotopes in ash using liquid scintilation counting<br \/>\n&#8212; Testing of electronics components for their stability against vibration<br \/>\n&#8212; Studying artificial photosynthesis<br \/>\n&#8212; Calibration and testing system for air humidity measurements<br \/>\n&#8212; Computational modeling of synthetic receptors for small anions<br \/>\n&#8212; Characterization of space technology equipment for stability towards exptreme temperatures<br \/>\n&#8212; Catalysis studies for oxygen electroreduction<br \/>\n&#8212; Measurements of thin film properties<\/p>\n<p>After the seminar the students had a small picnic\/barbeque.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">_<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">_<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On May 17, 2014 the spring seminar of the Applied Measurement Science programme took place.
