EACH defences 2025: Åbo Akademi University edition

On the 19th of August, 2025, five EACH students successfully defended their master’s theses at Åbo Akademi University (AAU), Finland.

The titles of the theses were the following:

Conrado Pabustan IV – Electrochemical Rust Removal on Medical Grade Stainless Steel Instruments

Gloriana María Rosabal Quirós – Effect of the electrode body material on the potentiometric response of solid-contact anion- and cation-selective electrodes

Jeric Paul Cadiz – Different constructions of the working electrode used in the novel coulometric signal transduction setup

Jocelyne Carolina Alvarez Paguay – Applying electrochemistry in re-passivation of medical instruments

Juan Angel Guevara Garza – Carbon nanomaterials as additives in cement
