About the EACH programme – Maitane Mendoza Sáenz

Maitane is an EACH student of the 2024 batch. Read next about her experience with the EACH program so far.
EACH Master’s program is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, without a doubt. Over these two years, I have been continuously challenged both academically and professionally, and now, at the end of this journey, I feel a strong sense of achievement and personal growth.
Throughout this experience, I have not only focused on my career but also met incredible people and collaborated with professionals from diverse backgrounds around the world. This has made the program especially unique and enriching.

The curriculum offers a strong and balanced combination of fundamental knowledge in analytical chemistry, hands-on laboratory experience, and courses that reflect current trends in the field. The first year at UT provides a comprehensive foundation in analytical chemistry, preparing students to develop into well-rounded scientists. My specialization at UU has allowed me to focus on topics I am truly passionate about, applying cutting-edge analytical techniques to analyze complex biological samples in relevant research contexts. During this time, I have developed strong technical skills and significantly improved my critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills through a wide range of projects and activities.

All the professors along the way have been incredibly supportive, consistently encouraging us to push our capabilities to the next level. I would especially like to acknowledge Ivo Leito and Anu Teearu, who made this opportunity possible and whose continuous support and dedication have been truly inspiring throughout this journey.
Without a doubt, pursuing EACH has been an unforgettable and career-wise decision that will strongly shape my professional career. It has also allowed me to build meaningful connections with amazing people that I am confident will last for many years in the future. Here are some pictures of this amazing journey!
