EACH Winter School 2025 finished!

On 31 January 2025, the 10th EACH Winter School was finally wrapped up after 3 days packed with activities and learning.
The week kicked off with a warm welcome and interactive discussions between 1st and 2nd-year students, alumni, and professors, setting the tone for a collaborative and inspiring experience. Throughout the event, participants attended insightful lectures, including a lecture on dissolved oxygen measurement with Dr. Irja Helm and a session on industry-oriented applications presented by experts from Axel’One.

Students engaged in hands-on experimental work and collaborative data analysis on dissolved oxygen measurements, fostering teamwork and critical thinking. They used calibrated oxygen sensors to measure dissolved oxygen in the lake Kääriku and tap water. Later, they presented their results. These activities highlighted the importance of collaboration and communication in addressing analytical challenges.
The program also included informative sessions about the courses at the University of Tartu for 1st year students, second-year tracks, and career-focused discussions, such as a virtual employability Q&A session, where students explored professional pathways with input from alumni who have pursued academic and industrial careers. Each day, analytical activities and career discussions ended with leisure time during the evenings at local saunas, providing the students the opportunity to relax as well as socialize.

The EACH Winter School continues to be a cornerstone event, equipping participants with cutting-edge knowledge, practical skills, and professional insights to thrive in the field of analytical chemistry.
