EACH Winter School 2026
The 11th EACH Winter School took place from January 19 to January 23, 2026, at Aronsborgs Konferenshotell, Sweden.

The Winter School brings a lot of knowledge, connections, and positive emotions for first-year students. At the start, they had a lot of fun on the ferry from Tallinn to Stockholm: they danced, sang, and enjoyed the view of the Baltic Sea.
In Aronsborg, they met the second-year students. The students provided all the necessary information to help first-year students choose a track consciously, but at the same time, based on their interests and scientific passion. Professors and coordinators from the second-year universities were also open to answering any questions, from course content to life in the track countries.

The most challenging, but at the same time the most interesting part, was the group work, where all students had to create a model based on using synthetic data for protein-related analytical chemistry. At the beginning, it was difficult, but with the help of Prof. M. Palmblad and his assistant, Mr T. Van der Lee, all student groups achieved great results, with the potential to be further improved into highly useful products.
In general, the atmosphere was very warm and supportive. The Winter School is a unique action that unites all program members into one big living organism – the EACH program.

All students are very grateful to Prof. J. Bergquist and all the people who participated in organising this awesome event.
“I made great memories this winter school. Meeting students and professors from different tracks and working on the collaborative project was both fun and helpful.” – Amna from Pakistan
“The winter school was a genuinely awesome experience. In such a short time, it brought together meaningful learning, great conversations and networking, and a lot of fun. I’m truly grateful for the experience and the EACH community.” – Ayobami from Nigeria
“The best thing I like about the winter school is how second year students and alumni make your concerns about the second year track and about life after just disappear, and how they make you very well prepared for what’s coming, also getting together with second year students, which makes very good connections with them.” – Ahmed from Egypt
“Winter school was a blend of fun, learning and teamwork. But the most fun part of the school was the people. From professors to students, everyone played their part by bringing positive vibes and interesting stories to the school. Of course, the hardest part is to say goodbye to your peers. But everyone will now return to their life with new energy and a fresh mind!” – Syed from Pakistan
