EACH defences of 2025: Uppsala University track

On June 12 and 13, 2025, seven EACH students of the Uppsala University (Sweden) track successfully defended their master’s theses.
The defended theses covered a variety of topics from method development for label-free quantitative protein analysis to studying landfill leachate and artificial football pitch turfs for potentially harmful chemicals, and from investigating skin-penetrating polycyclic hydrocarbons and their derivatives with imaging MS to analysis of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
The titles of the defended theses were the following:
Favour Ogheneoruese Onoharigho – Development of label-free LC-Q-TOF method for quantitative protein analysis
Adrián Geordi González García – Chemoselective probe-based metabolomics analysis of human samples
Anh Vu Nguyen – Quantification in mass spectrometry imaging: Optimised PA nano-DESI for acylcarnitine analysis in biological tissues
Felipe Shigueru Takano – Characterization of atmospheric deposits with non-target GC/HRMS
Maris Põdersalu – Global metabolomics analysis of Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma
Intasar Ul Haq – Evaluating landfill leachate and artificial turf football pitches as overlooked sources of traffic-related chemical
Sireethorn Poomborplab – Investigation of skin penetration of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and selected nitro- and oxy-derivatives using imaging mass spectrometry
Congratulations to the new EACH graduates, and we wish you all the best for your future!
